Photomatix
Today I purchased a Photomatix license key after trying the software. The results are much better than Qtpfsgui.
The first image is without any Photomatix processing and tone mapping.
Photomatix processed.
The same image as above but with some level adjustments using Photoshop.
I will be using Photomatix more in future - the results are fantastic.

High Dynamic Range(HDR)
Recently I did some research on HDR and thought I should give it a try. I used Qtpfsgui freeware. Its an easy application to use but seems a little weak on the processing and I am not very happy with the results.

I used a Raw file saving the same image with different exposure stop settings using Raw Therapee. The first at 0 which is the before picture the second at -2 and the third at +2.

Free Tibet
Having a look at my sister's blog, http://www.pretoriadailyphoto.blogspot.com/, latest post I had to do my own "free Tibet" post. I won't be lighting a candle but the thought still counts.

Wizardry
Not what I had in mind but after trial and error I'm reasonably happy with the effect.
